New Season News!

The countdown to the start of the new season continues! Membership renewal forms are now available on the website, please complete these as soon as possible. The dates for this years League matches are now on the Calendar and with 2 Dalkeith teams competing this year we are in for some exciting ties. We also have a Scottish Cup entry this year and the tie is on 10th April against Blackhall. Further details of where the tie will be played will follow shortly. Work is well under way in preparing the courts for a scheduled opening date of 20th April.

Junior Winter Indoor Sessions – Newbattle High School

Commencing Sunday 20^th January

As part of the Newbattle Sports Hub initiative we have been given the opportunity to run some Junior coaching sessions at Newbattle High School on Sunday mornings commencing 20^th January through to the end of March.

We will be running 2 sessions which will be suitable for our mini red, orange and green players. The times are as follows:

Mini Red/Mini Orange:         10am – 11am

Mini Green:                          11am – 12noon

I will require players to sign up for a six week block of sessions and the bargain cost of the 6 weeks will be £12!

Can you please let me know if you are interested as soon as possible as this initiative is also open to non Club members. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis and I would require payment in full at the first session.

LEVEL 2 QUALIFIED!

Well done to Gareth Stewart and John Slater who have recently passed their Level 2 Coaching Qualification. This means that we now have 2 members of the Club who are able to provide coaching for Juniors, beginners and improvers. There are plans for 2013 to further develop the coaching available through the Club and perhaps consider other activities such as Cardio Tennis. Keep checking the web site for further news.

In addition to passing the Level 2, Gareth and John also passed the playing test which enables them to progress to the next level (if they can spare the time!).
