Sat Mini-tennis for 3-5 year-olds
Highland Spring Pre-School with Parents Coaching
Saturdays, 9.00-9.45
This is aimed at 3 to 5-year olds and their parents. Racquets and balls will be provided for a fun session from 9.00 - 9.45, aimed at introducing young children to tennis and as well as involving their parents in the games.

Tennis Xpress Coaching - Sunday Evenings
If you have never played tennis before, need your game sharpened up or
haven’t played in a long time, then Tennis Xpress is for you. It is an
easy and fun way for adults to get into and develop their game.
During the six week course you will be taught new skills and be shown
how to serve, rally and score, so that by the end, you will be able to
enjoy fun matches with your friends, family, fellow club members or
other people you meet. If there is demand a follow on course will run in
September.
Sessions run on a Sunday night from 5-7pm. Cost is £10 per session
payable to Michael Robson an LTA Licensed Senior Club and Performance
Coach. No booking required so just turn up as 2 courts are reserved.

These are women only coaching sessions running from 10-11am each

Free taster session for 3 to 5-year olds

DLTC Benenden Festival - Junior Fun Day, 23rd July (11 & Under)
On Saturday 23rd July DLTC will be running a free open junior group session for ages 5 to 11. The session will run from approximately 10am to 12pm.
This event will be made up of various fun skill stations, challenges and games as well as courts of drills and competitions.
There will be prizes to be won throughout the session and we will end with a period of free play.
This session will be open to both members and non members, so if you know a family who might be interested please let them know about this event
Aspects of the sessions will require pairing up so it would be great if a parent/ guardian could attend and participate with, and compete against the junior however this is not essential.

Wimbledon Final Day!
On Saturday 9 July
from 1pm onward, we'll celebrate Wimbledon Finals day down DLTC by
screening the Women's Final in the clubhouse.
We'll also provide some strawberries and cream to get in the mood.
Please feel free to bring down Wimbeldon related treats - tennis whites, cakes, berries & cream, Pimms - and we'll try to hit a few balls too if the weather holds.

DLTC Boys' 14 & Under Open Tournament
The inaugural DLTC Boys' 14 & Under Open Tournament.
Matches kick off at 9.30 with the Final likely to be played around 14.00.
Come down and support the boys in their first ever LTA Approved DLTC Open Tournament.

Each match would be best of three sets, and each set follows
the following rules:
1.
First to four games wins
2.
Tie-break at 3-3
a.
First to five points win
b.
No need to win by two – sudden death at 4-4
c.
Change ends after four points
d.
Each player serves two points in turn, but at
4-4 the player (or team) who served second will serve the final point. So in
doubles:
i.
Player A1 serves two points
ii.
Player B1 serves two points
iii.
Player A2 serves two points
iv.
Player B2 serves two points
v.
Player B1 serves one point
3.
No advantage scoring
4.
Play lets on serve - In doubles, if the serve
hits the net cord and falls in, the non-receiving player can return the ball

American Tournament - Saturday 14 May
American Tournament - Saturday 14 May, 13.00-15.30
We're having an American Tournament Saturday, 14th May, at 1pm. The final format will depend on the numbers but basically it's just a fun doubles tournament for adult members, with a randomly drawn partner, or partners.
It won't take too long either, as we need to finish at 3:30 for the Boys' 16 & Under team's first match of the season, which you're all welcome to stay and watch.
